Parking

It is busy at City Hall, and due to limited parking on event openings, carpooling is a great idea.

If parking at City Hall is full, here are two options:

  1. Park at Prospect Point Shopping Center, by PNC Bank.  Use the cross walk at the light to safely cross US Hwy 42.

The sidewalk continues through the small park leading to City Hall.

  2. Park on Fox Harbor Road.

For Handicapped parking, there are two spots available at City Hall. City Hall is handicapped accessible.

Making an Art Purchase

All purchases are made directly with the buyer and the artist or the artist’s agent.  Details about the art are available on a tag (see image below), or you can reach out to any of the Art Committee members to assist.

There is always someone at the front desk at City Hall who will be able to answer your questions too!

Artwork tags with a red dot indicate sold. Please reach out to the artist for similar works.

Children Playing Sculpture
Donated by Anna and Norman Rissen, "Trio on a Fence" by the Randolph Rose Collection of Bronze Art.

WHILE YOU ARE VISITING

While you are at Prospect City Hall, please take time to visit the city’s art acquisition, “Trio on a Fence”. Located near Charlotte’s Playground in Little Hunting Creek Park adjacent to City Hall, the metal sculpture depicts children playing on a fence.

Anna and Norman Rissen lived for more than fifty years in a spacious home on Gunpowder Lane. At the end of May, 2024, Anna contacted me to offer the sculpture to the City. The Rissens were planning to move from Prospect, and they wanted to ensure that their beloved sculpture found a good home.

I appreciate Norman and Anna’s generous gift. The families that visit the playground and who attend events in the park all enjoy the sculpture.
